As they say in the 'Rocky Horror Picture Show" "This will make you a man". The Tammy Thomas perjury-BALCO trial opened in San Francisco. We told you about the Thomas beard last week. This week, we go to the Thomas chest. The hair on the chest (San Jose Mercury):
Thomas is the first defendant in the BALCO case to take her case to trial, unlike seven others who have pleaded guilty. Bonds and former track coach Trevor Graham are awaiting trial on perjury charges; Bonds' lawyers were not present Monday, but Graham's lawyer, William Keane, sat in the back row of the courtroom.
The trial is expected to resume today with the government's first witness, a Colorado doctor who examined Thomas in 2000 and found strong evidence of steroid use, including a beard and chest hair. At some point, federal agent Jeff Novitzky, considered the architect of the government's steroid investigation, is expected to testify and provide his first public account of the BALCO case.
Ethan Balogh, Thomas' lawyer, told jurors that Thomas' testimony before the grand jury in November 2003 was irrelevant to the BALCO inquiry and was sought only to trap her into committing perjury. "The government had a different agenda," he told jurors. "An agenda to clean up sports.
Think growing a beard and chest hair might warn you about the masculinizing side-effects of anabolic steroid use (in a woman)? That's strange enough to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.
Thomas's says lawyer the Govt's perverted cause is to clean up sports? Bearded ladies and moral governments...just what is this sick twisted world coming to?
You seriously make it appear so effortless together with your presentation but I discover this matter to be genuinely a thing which I assume I would hardly ever understand. It appears too complex and very broad for me. We are hunting forward for your following article.
