Roger Clemens showed up at a Houston Astros' mincamp for minor league players yesterday. From the Hartford Currant:
For three hours at an Astros' minicamp for minor leaguers that included his oldest son, Roger Clemens was back in his element, baffling hitters and instructing pitchers on mechanics.
"I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I love to do these things. If I can share any insight with these young kids, it's all the better."
Clemens, who sidestepped any questions about steroids or his pending appearance before a congressional committee, threw for about 30 minutes. Most of the batters whiffed at least once, even after Clemens would call out what kind of pitch he was throwing.
Russ Dixon, an infielder, homered to right, then sheepishly put his head down to avoid eye contact with the pitcher.
The Rocket says he is sharing insight with young kids; Let's hope that's not dosages of nandrolone. ('Before' and 'after' photos of the Rocket above)
