According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, boxer Joey Gilbert tested positive for both an anabolic steroid -- Winstrol -- and a stimulant -- methamphetamine. No pleading ignorance for this guy: he graduated from law school.
Further, Gilbert starred in the TV reality show 'The Contender'. He should be on 'The Offender' not 'The Contender'.
Gilbert tested positive for stanozolol metabolite, an anabolic steroid, and methamphetamine, among other drugs, following a Sept. 21 bout in Reno. On Wednesday, Gilbert gave no explanation for the steroid or methamphetamine positive tests.
Stanozolol is primarily used to promote muscle growth and is a common metabolite athletes test positive for, said Dr. Scott Hall, a sports medicine specialist at the University of Nevada, Reno. As for the methamphetamine, it too can be beneficial to an athlete. Awareness, stamina and endurance are all improved by methamphetamine, which is classified as an "upper."
"Methamphetamine will actually make you stronger temporarily as well," said Dr. David
Watson, who is the chief ringside physician for the Nevada Athletic Commission. "Steroids are a long-term muscle-building activity but the amphetamine, methamphetamine is also a benefit.
"The fact is that it was in his system and it wasn't out of his system (at the time of the fight). The fact that it was in his system means it was offering him a benefit."
Gilbert wasn't done yet. He once tested positive for Adderall, an amphetamine mix used for ADHD. Methamphetamine is not a compound in Adderal, thus Gilbert was using not only Adderall, but meth on the side. There were other drugs in his urine: nordiazepam, oxazepam and temazepam. Those drug are sedatives like valium
Essentially a multiple drug abuser was boxing. Joey Gilbert: lawyer, boxer, TV personality, fake, cheater, drug abuser, and sham. Throw the book at this guy.
It is essentially important for human beings to follow laws and orders
without which a man can be brutal enough harm others. It can be easily
mentioned that law plays a vital role in arranging the mob in a
systematic manner. So, one should never fail to follow laws of any
kind, concerning anything.

Whomever wrote this article obviously never met this guy. I've never known anyone with a more severe case of ADHD in my life. It is a positive thing if prescribed medication was found in his system. That just means he is getting treatment for a condition like anyone else. I'm sorry but I just can't believe Joey Gilbert would take METHamphetamine. It makes me laugh out loud.

The total meth-head addict, steroid user, scam artist, and gay quit and claimed he had double vision. This is hilarious and a total sham of a boxer. Maybe he can come out as the first gay fighter and fight for gay rights and all his gay lovers in Reno.
