An Orlando sportscaster body slammed wrestling mogal Vince McMahon.
Yesterday Vince McMahon and his wrestling circus announced some kind of wrestle mania in Orlando at the Citrus Bowl. During the press conference, a question came up about the recent anabolic/steroid news about pro wrestlers. Local 6 in Orlando reports (with video):
"I don't think it sends a negative message," McMahon said. "It would be one thing if that were brought out and promoted in our events and things of that nature. We are talking about a minority of individuals that do things like this and you are going to find it everywhere."
Then McMahon chastised the reporters, according to the sports anchor:
After the interview, McMahon said bringing up the subject of performance-enhancing drugs at the event was in poor taste, Lewis reported.
Which led to these classic on-air comments by the sports director:
"Vince, you have your employees dying prematurely due to health problems from steroid use, you send women out to wrestle in dental floss with more silicon in their body than a Tupperware convention and you are going to lecture people about poor taste?" Lewis said. "Make sure you Windex that glass house you live in before throwing those stones, my friend."
I THINK WRESTLING IS A GREAT SPORT THERE R SOME PEOPLE WHO DO THINGS FOR WHICH WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND BUT TO BLAME THE EMPLOYER IS OUTRAGEOUS MY HUSBAND N I R HUGE BENOIT FANS N IM SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPEN TO HIM N HIS FAMILY BUT IF UR GOING TO BLAME SOMEONE BLAME THE DOCTORS THEY NEW WHAT THEY WERE PERSCRIBING WAS DANGEROUS AS FOR WWE KEEP ROCKIN WELL KEEP WATCHING!
From the Nation: We have to agree the doctors 'appear' not responsible in prescribing these drugs. That doesn't absolve whatsoever the performer or the WWE.
thanks
