Kurt Angle last night released a statement regarding the article that Sports Illustrated posted earlier this week, claiming that the TNA star was one of several athletes caught up in a Florida steroid “sting", stating:
“I did not improperly receive prescriptions. It is well documented that in my career I have broken vertebrae in my neck on five occasions and each time the course of treatment was under the care and supervision of my Doctors. Any attempt to link me to the athletes in the current news accounts who may have improperly sought performance-enhancing drugs is without foundation.”
The Sports Illustrated article reported that Angle received two prescriptions for steroids between October 2004 and February 2005. You can read our original report on the story by clicking here.
