Lance Armstrong once again uncategorically denied performance enhancing drugs.
“My cycling victories are untainted,” he said. “I didn’t take performance-enhancing drugs, I didn’t ask anyone else to take them and I didn’t condone or encourage anyone else to take them. I won clean.”
Greg Lemond weighed in too:
“I think it was the best thing because what Frankie did helps people understand that doping is a problem,” LeMond said. “It takes a lot of courage for him to go against the grain and go against a lot of people who want to help keep this buried.”
Armstrong has adamantly denied PED use. However, unlike Lemond, he will not release an anti-doping message like the others.
