Our lab came across an old story about Brian Bosworth admitting to steroid use. Remember The Boz? We didn't, LOL until today. As seen here, from Sports Illustrated, the Boz was a 'pumped up' LB from a troubled Oklahoma football program, who turned out to be a bust (according to SI).
The archieved steroid story is here, from the New York Times.
''I accept my punishment,'' said the flamboyant 238-pound, 6-foot-2-inch linebacker. But he criticized the application of a rule on steroids by the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Apparently roids pumped him up, but not enough. Our man Bo Jackson busted Bosworth like a fried
biceps tendon on Deca, when he dragged the Boz into the endzone in the process of his 221 yard outburst against the Seahawks. Bo Knows Boz
I was in the crowd when Bo made his MLB debut in Kansas City
Once, after a KC Royals-California Angels bench clearing brawl, I heard George Brett interviewed. Here is how it went:
Broadcaster: "George, what were you doing during the fight?'
Brett: "Looking for Bo Jackson to get behind. That man is the strongest human being I have ever seen."
Hear hear.
16 years ago today, Bo hit 3 HRs against the Yankees, with 7RBI.
Oh yeah, looks like not only did Bo dominate Boz in the game, he has also hijacked Boz's story here...heh heh.
Once I step on the field - being baseball or football, I prepared myself mentally in the locker room prior to the game and once I step on the field, I'm the meanest S.O.B. on the planet.

This guy was a phony all the way back in high school at Mac Arthur H.S. in Irving Texas. He was all hype. You could see his growth almost weekly due to steroid abuse. I watched him act like a fool in economics class once. He did not know the teacher (Mr. Bradley)was across the hall listening on the P.A. When Bradley called him out he looked like he was going to cry. No Balls Boz. Turned out as expected.
