Comments from Giambi

Here from the Sport's Illustrated website  is an article about Jason Giambi.  Giambi and Bond's paths crossed several times, in tangent, actually.  Bonds with the Giants, Giambi with the A's. Etc.  Giambi came clean about roids to the grand jury.

From the SI site, Giambi talking about testifying to the grand jury:

"I had to go in there and do what I had to do," Giambi said. "I had to do what was best for me. It was tough at the beginning. Now that everything has come out and I've gone forward, it's been a lot better. I don't know anything that's going on with Barry. But for my situation, I did the best thing I could. It was the right thing to do at the time.''

In my reading of 'Game of Shadows' Giambi came across as a gregarious, talkative guy.  If anyone took any substance without knowing what exactly it was, he was the guy.  Bonds, meanwhile was the obsessive control guy, who knew everything, and wanted to orchestrate everything.  It apears ludicrous that he would ingest, or inject substances about which he wasn't quite sure.

This situation appears like it is going to play out this week...
