Jose Guillen really working out for the Royals

2004338767 Kansas City outfielder Jose Guillen avoided a 15 day suspension when MLB Commissioner Bud Selig granted clemency to MLB players in the Mitchell Report.  Too bad, because the Royals might have saved some money on the young Guillen bust.

The Royals invested 36 million for 3 years on Guillen, implicated in juicing before the signing.  Great investment.  Today Guillen just dropped a fly ball that led to a Minnesota Twins first inning run.

Thus far in the young season Guillen is batting .133 with 0 home runs and 5 RBIs.  The 'slugger' produced 10 strikeouts in his 45 ABs.  That's the kind of performance the Royals need from their clean-up hitter.  His OPS is -5.

What do they pay for Billy Butler?

Update: Guillen struck out on three pitches (change-ups), with a man on.  Great.  Maybe the Royals can petition Selig to go through with the 15 day suspension.
