As Jose Guillen, and Jay Gibbons appear to be caught in the MLB suspension web, Rick Ankiel, Troy Glaus, Gary Matthews, Jr. and Scott Schoeneweis crawled out of that web of trouble with the MLB.
Guillen and Gibbons names start with 'G' which is a letter in HGH, and must be the reason for suspending the pair for about 8% of the season. Ankiel, Glaus, Matthews, and Schoeneweis don't have 'Gs'; except Glaus and Gary Matthews Jr., but there are exceptions to the rule. (link to SI story)
Here is a rundown:
- Suspended:
- Not suspended:
- Glaus: Anabolic steroids
- Matthews Jr.: HGH
- Schoeneweis: Anabolic steroids
- Ankiel: HGH
Wonder what the explanation of the differences between those players suspended, and those who will continue to juice play?
From SI:
Gary Matthews Jr., Rick Ankiel, Troy Glaus and Scott Schoeneweis also were linked to performance-enhancing drugs, but baseball decided there was "insufficient evidence'' to determine they committed a doping violation. They were accused of receiving the substances before 2005.
Quickly, explain the difference between 'sufficient' and 'insufficient'.
