Marion Jones stripped naked (of medals)

In the past we reported that Marion Jones was flat broke, and that Marion Jones was wiped out.  Now, it is official: Marion Jones is stripped naked...of Olympic medals...News from Australia.

Drug cheat Marion Jones has been formally stripped of the five medals she won during the Sydney Olympics, after she revealed she was using steroids at the time of the games.

The Sprinter admitted she had taken the performance enhancing drug the clear before the 2000 games.

The International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge confirmed the organisation's decision, which follows a two year ban placed on Jones by the IAAF in November.

Jones won three gold and two bronze medals in track and field events in Sydney, all of which have been handed back.

The once world class athlete may still receive a lifetime Olympic ban.

There is no joy is seeing such a talented athlete descend into ruins.  We are not sure of the message here, but those who supplied her with PEDs appear to be in much better psychological and financial positions than Marion Jones.
