HBO acquired the rights to 'Game of Shadows' the book documenting BALCO and the gang. Story in Variety. (another link)
Ron Shelton has been set by HBO Films to direct a pic about San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds that will air on HBO...
HBO Films has acquired rights to "Game of Shadows: Barry Bonds, BALCO and the
Steroids Scandal That Rocked Professional Sports," a book by Mark Fainaru-Wada and Lance Williams, the San Francisco Chronicle reporters who broke numerous stories about the nutrition company accused of distributing illegal steroids to athletes including Bonds, Oakland A's and New York Yankees first baseman Jason Giambi and Olympic gold medal sprinter Marion Jones.
(And if that sentence weren't long enough...)
Shelton directed 'Tim Cup', 'Bull Durham', and 'White Men Can't Jump'.
Who might be casted as Barry, Marion Jones, Victor Conte etc.?
- Barry Bonds: Ving Rhames or Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson
- Kimberly Bell: Alyssa Milano
- Marion Jones: Selita Ebanks (5'9")
- Greg Anderson: Val Kilmer
- Victor Conte: Tim Allen or David Carridine
- Jason Giambi: Steven Seagal, or Vin Diesel
- Romo (Bill, not Tony): as himself
Any other nominations?

How about Endy Chavez as the young Bonds and Michael Clarke Duncan as the current Bonds?

vin diesel and the rock.. especially appropriate haha.. except the rock looks like he's lost about 100 pounds of muscle. if you google "the rock" and "steroids," you can see a series of inconsistencies. pretty funny. i'd suggest that wrestler bobby lachey for bonds. he's almost as ripped.

I really think we need somebody of PROFESSIONAL level quality to play Barry Bonds. By professional I mean in the most important aspect of the game.
That's why my vote goes to Amy Winehouse.

Dave Chappelle as the "before" Bonds.

i cant wait to see how lop-sided this is going to turn out...these people will be demonized for using the best and most pure type of substances instead of using BS unregulated suppliments that don't do anything but steal your money. Yeah thats really more ethical than athletes performing at their best for a fan paying top dollar...i hope i am wrong and they show the truth about steroids and other preformance enhancers in other areas of life not just SPORTS!...freaking hypocrites!
