Weird that ex-close friends or ex-lovers appear to be on the docket when the Govt gets around to prosecuting Barry Bonds. Maybe not so weird, as it seems Bonds burns out his close friends.

Both Steve Hoskins, once Bonds’ closest friend and best man at his first wedding, and former girlfriend Kimberly Bell are expected to be key witnesses for the government. Each had a nasty falling out with Bonds, and each claims to have firsthand knowledge of Bonds’ steroid use.
Besides their alleged knowledge of Bonds’ steroid use, Hoskins and Bell also were widely expected to provide the cornerstone of the government’s tax evasion case against the career home run leader.
