Shawne Merriman's steroid use doesn't scare Nike
This fall football season, a Nike TV advertisement features proved juicer, and San Diego Charger, Shawne Merriman performing feats of incredible athletic ability. Apparently Nike ignores
Merriman's anabolic steroid use that brought him a 4 game suspension last year. That earned Merriman the wrath of defensive end Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins who rightfully questioned honors bestowed on a cheater.
Merriman, who seems a little too fast, too strong, and too quick for his size (and we wonder why) destroyed Priest Holmes a few years ago. Too bad Holmes did not take Merriman to court for a lawsuit. Part of the risk in the NFL is the risk of injury. However, that risk does not entail the risk of injury to a steroid enhanced athlete.
Nike's message apparently awards performance despite the cheating to achieve that performance. Wrong message Nike.

shwne marrimane need to fix his life..
