LL Cool J not on steroids

Reported here in the Macon Telegraph, rapper LL Cool J will be out with a new book book on his muscular physique.  He says he did it without the help of steroids.  The man also denies liposuction, rib removal, and plastic surgery.  However, there were no questions about  cross-gender problems.  Oh well.

Now, he's (LL Cool J) baring his body once again, not to show off, but to show others how they can get fit. He's co-authored the new book "LL Cool J's Platinum Workout," which divulges the tips and secrets that keep the 39-year-old looking buff...

QUESTION: Why did you decide to do the book?

ANSWER (LL Cool J): There was a lot of speculation. People were thinking I was doing steroids. People were thinking I was getting plastic surgery. They were thinking I had lipo, a rib removed. All these different questions people had. I felt like the most constructive and positive response that I could make was to put out a book to show people how I did it, how I got in shape, what I did to get in shape and hopefully it will inspire them to do the same thing.

QUESTION: What was your response when people were saying you were on steroids?

ANSWER: My first response was that any time you are successful in life or any time you do something well it does one of two things for other people: It either motivates them or it shines a light on their flaws and causes them to be very uncomfortable with where they are at, because they know deep down inside they are not maximizing their potential. When you are a person who is not maximizing your potential, it is a lot easier to say, 'They cheated' or 'she cheated' than it is it admit you really haven't lived up to your potential or really made the best out of the opportunities you have been given.
