Steroid Nation sees that Brian Cushing, linebacker from USC is playing in the Rose Bowl against Michigan. There was a mini-controversy last summer about Cushing's gynecomastia pics, that the 'breast enlargement' was due to steroid use.
(Link here, with better photos)
Cushing had been injured in USC spring practice. Thought was that he was roiding, then stopped. The side effects of the 'roids caused the gynecomastia. Stopping the 'roids reduced his muscle mass. The photos tell the story.
Cushing is back with the Trojans, looking better than ever, as he plays in the Rose Bowl.
I include what appear to be statements from Cushing last fall denying steroid use:
...roughly a month into his rehab, a photo of Cushing with a somewhat flabby chest began circulating around the Internet. Comments such as "he's off the juice," and "definitely steroids" became routine from his detractors.
Cushing denies ever taking steroids. "We get drug tested every three weeks out here so it's virtually impossible to take steroids [and get away with it].
Another newspaper interviewed Cushing -- found here.
