Night of the living dead: Nevada boxing suspends 'The Monster'; needs to check the pulse too
What a match that was, October 21, PRIDE 32, Maurico "Shogun" Rua (14-2) vs. Kevin 'the monster' Randleman (16-12). You can even see parts of the fight on Utube (nasty stuff, because it looks like anything goes in these fights). Turns out that Randleman may indeed be 'the monster'. Randleman’s post-fight urinalysis was suspicious, very suspicious.
Both bruisers were obviously on something hormonal (see video above). However, one fighter has darker secrets. The Monster's urine was extra-terrestrial as noted here at the Fight Network.
Randleman’s post-fight urinalysis following his Oct 21 PRIDE 32 “The Real Deal” loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (14-2) initially yielded negative test results for steroids, yet further test results received today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission show the fighter’s urine samples were also void of human hormones.
“The lab has determined this is not a legitimate sample,” said NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer this afternoon. “It was either allegedly non-human urine or urine from a dead human being.”
"Non-human" or a "dead human being". These ultimate fighting matches are tough, especially if they match you against an alien, or a zombie.
This may cost the 'man-beast-alien-zombie, some human cash:
Kizer has placed Randleman’s name on the agency’s next meeting agenda for temporary suspension until further hearings can be set to review the matter. If found guilty, Randleman faces penalties ranging from warnings and suspensions to revocation of license and/or fines not exceeding $250,000 or the fighter’s purse, whichever is greater. NSAC records listed Randleman’s PRIDE 32 purse at $40,000.
It was a rough night in Nevada. Two other ultimate fight contestants tested positive for steroids:
Pride mixed martial arts fighters Vitor Belfort (photo to the left) and Pawel Nastula (photo below) have been suspended for nine months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for positive drug tests.
Belfort was also fined US$10,000 while Nastula was fined $6,500, commission executive director Keith Kizer said Thursday. Belfort tested positive for 4-Hydroxytestosterone while Nastula's test showed for Nandrolone, pseudoephedrine, ephedrine and phenylpropanolamine.
