Tour de France: Landis Positive Doping Test

27tour337Surprise, Surprise, the winner of the Tour De Farce, Floyd Landis apparently tested positive for doping.

In an era when track records are taken away because of steroid cheats (and probably many more are set without getting caught cheating), when the most sacred record in the USA (season home runs, and career home runs, it doesn't surprise me a bit someone cheats in a sport long ago perverted by cheats.  (Hey it was here at the Univ of Iowa, Herman Falsetti blazed the path for cyclists doping).

Front page news in the New York Times.   All the news that's fit to print.  More permanent link here.

One again, let someone really clean up a sport like cycling, or allow use of pharmaceutics with medical guidance.
